In February and March, one 60-minute session a week, alternating between 1:1 with Tim and your partner session, plus one group session a month. Around that, 10 to 15 minutes a day for your protocols. January and April are lighter. And one weekend in late January for the retreat. All dates go into your calendar in January. After that, you don’t have to think about it.

This group may be for you if
  • You’re always on. There’s always another thing to do, and never quite enough time.
  • You want to stay sharp, recover fast and feel alive while building.
  • You’d rather learn tools that work than listen to another podcast about it.
  • You want to see the change in numbers, not just feel it.
  • You believe in learning alongside others. It’s more fun, and it sticks. Nine founders who carry what you carry, and the honesty and support that comes with that.
  • The focus is you, not the company. Fundraising, strategy and networking aren’t on the agenda, but with ten founders in one room, connections tend to happen on their own.

You don’t need a crisis, previous coaching experience or a free calendar. One session a week in February and March, 10 to 15 minutes a day, that’s it.

First Cohort 2027

Keep the drive.
Build more capacity for the system it runs on.

The first Slowdown group runs from January to April 2027 and is limited to ten founders, this first time, men. Every participant takes part in a personal mutual-fit conversation.

10 founders · 8 places left · €4,900 first-cohort price, plus VAT
Find out if it’s a fit It’s a conversation, not a commitment. About fit and calendar, before you decide anything.

Slowdown is a coaching and personal-development experience. It does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic diagnosis or treatment.

The programme
Is this coaching, therapy or a mastermind?

Coaching with psychological depth, combined with measurement and training for the nervous system. Not therapy, not medical treatment, and not a business mastermind about fundraising or tactics.

Two things run side by side. The measurements are precise and come with numbers. The coaching works from situations in your life, without a protocol or a score. You’ll always know which of the two you’re in.

Why the nervous system?

Because it’s where body and mind meet. How much you can carry, how fast you recover and how clearly you decide depend on the state it’s in, and that state responds to what you do with your body, to how you relate to what happens, and to the people around you. That’s why we work on all three.

Slowing down isn’t the goal. Being able to is. Full speed when it counts, full recovery when it’s over.

How is this different from an online course on nervous system regulation?

Online courses are good at teaching tools. Three things are different here. Your nervous system and biomarkers are measured and reviewed with you, instead of relying on a self-assessment. You practise together in person, not only on a screen. And in 1:1 coaching you work on the situations that keep you switched on, with a depth no online format offers.

All of it in a group of ten founders.

What happens in a coaching session?

We start with something from your own life. A difficult conversation, a decision that keeps following you, a situation where you want to respond differently. Tim helps you explore what’s happening, in your thoughts and in your body, and try new ways of relating to it.

You don’t need to arrive with an explanation or a perfectly defined goal.

Why a group for men?

These patterns are not uniquely male. But many ambitious men have learned to carry a lot alone and show themselves mainly through competence. The first group creates a confidential space to be honest, think out loud and connect beyond performance.

What happens in the partner sessions?

You and another founder from the group meet for four guided 60-minute sessions between your 1:1 coaching. Each session comes with a clear structure, so nobody has to lead. You practise what’s hard to practise at work, and you reflect together on what you notice.

You schedule the sessions between you.

Where and when is the retreat, and what happens there?

Late January, Friday to Sunday, with a single room and full board. Exact dates and the location follow with your calendar.

Three days away from the usual input. You learn ways to shift your state from all three directions, bottom-up, top-down and side by side, and experience evidence-based protocols, in how you feel and in your data. You get to know the other founders and begin the work as a group, the foundation for everything that follows.

Do I need to share personal topics with the group?

No. You are expected to participate, but you decide what you share and when.

The group is designed for depth without forced disclosure. You can work with what is present, learn through others and participate without revealing anything before you are ready.

How are the measurements used?

As a baseline and as feedback, not as a grade, a diagnosis or a new score to optimise.

Your nervous system data shows how your system handles your weeks and how it responds to what you practise. Your biomarkers show what shapes it. At the end, we look at both alongside the changes you notice in how you work and live.

Which biomarkers are measured?

Your nervous system, measured at home with an ECG device you can use as often as you like. Plus two lab rounds, at the start and at the end.

  • Cortisol profile across the day
  • Micronutrients
  • Inflammation markers
  • Heavy metals
  • Muscle tension

Heart rate variability shows how flexibly your nervous system shifts between action and recovery, the very skill this programme trains. You review your nervous system data with Tim, your lab results with our physician.

What happens after the four months?

We close with your second measurement, a final review and a closing group session. What changed, what still needs attention, what you carry forward. You leave with a skill you keep, and know how to shift gears on your own when the next intense phase comes.

The programme’s scheduled support ends after four months. Any further coaching or medical support would be discussed separately.

Practical
What does it cost?

€4,900 plus VAT for the first group, half of the €9,800 that applies from the second group on. You can pay in three monthly instalments.

Fit and calendar we go through in a personal conversation; nobody commits to anything before that.

What is the time commitment?

In February and March, one 60-minute session a week, alternating between 1:1 with Tim and your partner session, plus one 90-minute group session a month. Around that, 10 to 15 minutes a day for your protocols.

January and April are lighter. The kick-off or closing session, your measurements and your reviews. Plus one weekend in late January for the retreat. You receive the complete calendar before deciding.

Can my company pay?

Yes. We can invoice your company. Please check the tax treatment with your accountant.

I’m not based in Berlin. Does that work?

Yes. Coaching, partner and group sessions are online. The nervous system measurement and the lab samples work from home, wherever that is. The only part in person is the retreat in late January.

What is the ECG device?

A small sensor from Firstbeat, worn on the chest. It comes from professional sport and records your heart rate variability through a real ECG, with medical-grade precision. A watch or a ring estimates; this measures.

You wear it for a few days at a time, as often as you like over the four months, and go about your normal life. Tim reads the data with you.

I already have blood tests, health tracking or a coach. Does this still make sense?

Often, yes. A standard check-up rarely includes a cortisol profile across the day, an in-depth micronutrient panel, heavy metals or muscle tension. Trackers show you data, but don’t train the skill behind it. And if you already work with a coach, this adds what a coaching relationship usually doesn’t. Measurement, training for the body and a group of peers.

Existing results are useful context. Send them before our first conversation and we’ll see what overlaps.

What if I miss a session?

1:1 coaching sessions can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Partner sessions are scheduled between the two of you and can be rearranged. The guest session in February is recorded.

All other group sessions and the retreat take place on fixed dates and cannot be rescheduled or caught up.

Who can see my health data and results?

Only you, Tim and our physician. Nothing is shared with other participants.

You review your nervous system data privately with Tim and your lab results privately with our physician.

What happens if a result needs medical attention?

Our physician reviews your findings with you and explains their significance in your individual context. If your nervous system data shows anything that needs a medical look, Tim passes it on to our physician. If further medical attention is needed, we will flag this.

How are participants selected?

We talk first. If it’s a fit for you and for the group, you get a place.

What matters is openness and the willingness to contribute, not what you have built. The aim is a group that is professionally diverse and carries a similar level of responsibility.

Is everything discussed confidential?

Yes. Every participant agrees that personal information and conversations from the group remain inside the group.

Confidentiality is not an additional feature. It is a prerequisite for the depth of the work.
